To paraphrase Bill Clinton’s somewhat crude yet spot-on observation . . . it really is the Economy. The ‘pie’ is the same size (if not somewhat smaller) and we now have more and more people receiving smaller and smaller slices. The energetic fall-out is phenomenal as is resultant over-the-top frustration.

We are in new economy and the old rules may not apply and when one is exhausted and disenchanted ‘new approaches’ often do not quickly come to mind.

Individually and collectively, we mortals may be tired yet we are by no means ‘down for the count’. Throughout history, Humanity has demonstrated great capacity for incredible innovation and therein abides our enchantment and our saving grace.
