Like many people, I have been increasingly obsessed with Hurricane “Helene,” wondering what the hell is going on, and very concerned for the mother (of my two grandkids) who was in Asheville when Helene began to wreck havoc over an enormous area. Still don’t know if she’s okay. Know that she and her partner were trying to get out of the area yesterday, to return to their current home in Boston area, but kept running into closed areas in roads north, east, or west — with not that much gas, and no gas stations open. Tried to call her again late yesterday. No response. Did they make it out, or are they stranded somewhere? Did they go back to Asheville, and their new (to them) house which was not flooded, to wait it out?
The stories keep proliferating, and so far, except for one piece of info, all of them that I came across and more, are in this new Celia Farber substack.
Here’s what was not yet in her queue.

So here we are, on the very day when the longshoreman’s union contract runs out. By tomorrow, October 1, the eastern and gulf ports may have closed, completely upsetting supply chains.
We knew this coming month would be absurdly upsetting. We are beginning to find out why.
The heavens are speaking to us!
Astrologer Maureen Richmond speaks here specifically of karmic Saturn’s current 2.5 year transit through watery Pisces, with special reflection on the enormous flood’s environmental implications.
X/twitter continues as by far my best source of possibly real — and, during these days of apocalyptic disclosure of the deep dark business the “elite” scum has been involved in — the ongoing horrific, (formerly) unspeakable, unmentionable Plutonian purgation of what’s been happening for likely, thousands of years, below our awareness.
What, even a year ago, most people wouldn’t have believed even if they saw it with their own eyes.
And of course, many still do.
Yet even those who don’t bother to look at X /twitter have heard, for example, of the arrest of P Diddy, and his “freak-outs” implicating what may be the entire world wide web of “famous” folks — with the implication that you don’t get to be “famous” unless you bow down and sell your soul — but of course on X/twitter, just like all of media, whether MSM or so-called “alternative,” everything depends on choice, discernment, who or what do you consider worth the bother of stopping for a second or ten seconds, or even a minute, to take it in.
But what I notice most about myself in the past several months, is how I’m gravitating on X to horror’s antidotes, which I relish in wonderful animal video close-ups. Especially wild species — how they behave with each other, how they love each other! How “human” in their affection and attitude. Kittens, too, and puppies — hilarious and over the top. Glorious black stallion running! And the powerful intimacy, of insect, animal, and animal/human bonding. We have so much to learn from our fellow creatures!
And consider this. Breathtaking photo.

Oh, and then, just for balance, in case I get too far out there, up there, bathed in ineffable beauty, there’s this . . .

”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
