I reconsider my own reaction to the debate

When I said I didn’t watch it, I meant that I didn’t sit there and watch it continuously. Was too pissed to continue for more than one or two minutes at a time. Kamala’s laughing lies, the moderators’ obvious bias, Trump’s exasperation — it all took its toll.

However, I have managed to watch a few clips since, and to my mind, the best five minute recap comes from Nicole Shanaman (Kennedy’s VP choice):

A few comments to Shanahan’s post speak for me as well.

I don’t know if “normalcy” is possible. There will be no return to what was. As Clif High puts it, get used to the “irreversibility of time.” (Actually, our favorite actress Kamala says that too, in one of her pseudo-philosophical word salads. Don’t want to spend time here to find one of them.)

Then there’s the theory that the debate was yet another brilliant move in Trump’s 5d chess game . . .

Could be. And that possibility makes me “feel better.”

I had felt totally “off” all day yesterday.

Strange, how much I’m counting on this one courageous, deeply flawed (of course! who isn’t?) mortal man to begin to right the ship of state. And this, despite the demonic deep state forces arrayed against him.

Tried, and failed, to watch the debate last night.

From the very beginning, the whole thing felt strangely off.

Trump started out tense, irritated.

Harris started out confident, affable, articulate. Kept looking at him; he kept refusing to look at her.

I watched for a few minutes, with a growing dread.

It was obvious that she had been coached, memorizing “answers” to questions I presume she was given in advance. Or not answering them, just going elsewhere with her memorized comments.

He never did get on top of the situation. Which really surprised me.

Then there was the obvious bias of the ABC moderators. Weird.

This morning I see this: Kamala was wearing Nova H1 audio earrings?

That Q drop is an exact four year delta!

Now I’m beginning to wonder if Trump set this debate up so it would come off exactly as it did. 5D chess.

Maybe.

I also wonder about the timing of this highly anticipated debate, the night before the 23rd anniversary of 911, the remembrance of which they both attended today, shaking hands for the second time.

What in hell is going on?
