CROTCHETY CRONE: gifted with synchronicity at dawn, linking street mark to rune. Wow.

This very early morning, at dawn, I was on my usual 4-5 mile walk with puppy Scampi and, pondering the fact that Crotchity Crone has returned, and keeps on returning, trying to drag me down, despite my conscious awareness of her. An awareness that yes, does tend to bring in neutrality, kinda, sorta. Barely. In order to maintain awareness I have to keep on waking up out of stormy weather inside me.

Have to keep on freshly noticing her foul moods (why?), her fury (at what?). What is blocking me? Then, given my tendency to paranoia, the question comes up: Is my internal state really mine? Is there any situation in my life that would actually warrant such a nasty mood? (Which, being a good girl, I keep hidden, of course. It’s just me who knows my inner state.)

Then, as usual, instantly I expanded my personal focus to all of humanity. Is this inner turbulence — which all too often results in external conflict, violence, death — what we’re all going through at this time in history? And, worse: is it being engineered. Is there a continuous “voice to skull” message beaming through all of us? If so, by whom? Or what?

If so, I need to protect myself. NOW. Banish the poison; then create a impenetrable bubble of personal protection.

Suddenly, I happen to look down. Down at the street. And guess what immediately pops into view:

A few feet later, another one:

Ommigod, it’s a rune! Which one?

When I returned home I looked it up.

 

Going back later and taking two photos, I notice that this chalk marking is made to signal “continue” to workmen between two chalked marked signs indicating start here and stop here.

And one could say the same about what Eihwaz means for me.

Continue. Just continue.

Or, as we hippies used to intone:

Don’t worry, be happy.

Eihwaz points the way.

THE WIDENING (harmonious!) CONTEXT: Uranus, joined by Neptune, Pluto, and, very soon, JUPITER!

I’ve been focusing on how transit Uranus has been affecting my own natal chart, since it’s returning for the first and only time to its zodiacal degree (1°36 Gemini) at my birth (12/19/1942). Notice: yesterday’s post exemplifies the havoc it triggers inside me, which then ramifies into the atmosphere I inhabit. And notice too, that my sudden, many minutes long “emergency” (that’s what it felt like, losing my purse, especially, then badly scraping my leg), was attended to by total strangers who suddenly rose to the occasion and “saved my ass.” All in all, this drastic experience felt divinely protected, despite the absurdly emotional upheaval. And that’s the nature of things these days; we are all going through momentous changes that bring up all sorts of momentous unresolved issues from our own past, not to mention momentous unresolved issues politically, socially, culturally.  And, if you’re like me, when you look back on any particular recent drama that you survived, you felt both mysteriously protected, and the situation itself, no matter how complex and many faceted, divinely guided.

And that has nothing to do with Uranus. That, my friends, is dreamy, visionary, unifying, inspiring, confusing, atmospheric Neptune at work. And the powerful, deepening profundity of each drama, which seems to force to the surface so much “unhealed business,” no matter how much we’ve tried like hell to bury it forever, is the work of primal, death/rebirth Pluto.

All three outer planets are and have been, for awhile now, configured into an harmonious astrological triangle in which they are either sextile (60°) or trine (120°) the other two. Uranus in Gemini, Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius: two in air, the other in fire. Worldwide, the human condition, as set by the collective unconscious, is both volatile (Aries, Uranus), and continuously spewing “narratives” (Gemini, Pluto in Aquarius) in all-too-human — ultimately failing — attempts to control (Pluto) both the process and the outcome.

Against this outer planet background, coming right up: Jupiter, in Leo, about to contact this three way (ultimately) harmonious configuration, and to steady and magnify it (fixed sign Leo). Generous, lucky Jupiter to settle, or even “lord it over” the overall drama of dramas in a way that will seem — at least for awhile, since the four-planet configuration to be temporarily produced is at 4° — to have added another harmonious aspect to the original three,

Anyone with major planets or Ascendant/Descendant, or MC/IC configured with any of these four planets, will be especially affected.

Like me. All four planets figure prominently for my natal chart. No wonder, the Uranian experience of yesterday. No wonder my feeling of being protected (Neptune), and of somehow accessing the primal power (Pluto) to work with whatever is the next unexpected (Uranus) drama to pop up! Jupiter, the frosting on this collective unconscious cake, will be aspecting the three planet configuration during the second half of this month. On July 19-21, it will reach exactitude: opposite Pluto, trine Neptune, and sextile Saturn, all four at 4°+ of their respective signs.
