One dead computer; ONE LIVE HARD DRIVE! I take it all back.

Oh my. I was so very wrong. I did not “lose” all my important data when the old computer went dark. (See last post).

And why was I so very wrong? Because I “jumped to conclusions.” A very strong trait: natal Mars in Sagittarius directly opposite Uranus in Gemini. Instead of right then, checking my hard drives, I waited a whole 24 hours.

The wait, it turned out, was worth it; just as natal Saturn, also in Gemini, also opposes Mars in Sagittarius. (Uranus conjuncts Saturn within 5°). I waited. I needed to direct my focus. Saturn.

And when I did, I could not help but love myself!

From hate (fear) to love, in 24 hours. Oh my . . .

Even so, the exclamation “what a fool!” fits.

I used to decry my use of “what a fool!” Thinking the remark self-demeaning, which it is. On the other hand, what is demeaned here, is the ego, a superficial aspect of the self created by the time we are two years old (a Mars cycle: ME ME ME!), via continuous “this is me” “that is not me” distinctions. It is the ego then, which we utilize to interact with the world.

The inner self, meanwhile, simply observes, notes, and with good humor, what the ego does and does not do; its many gyrations which, ultimately, says the inner self, become boring!

Oh, if only I could simply observe my ego (and thus modulate it), rather than watching it charge through life like a wild horse. Which it still does. At the age of 82 . . .

So. What did I discover? That my hard drive shows 19 e-books. (Collections of essays according to theme with cover page, intro, and contents). More than I realized! Plus hundreds of essay pdfs. So I’m good to go, again. (All of these are going to be archived on tendrepress.com.)

Plus, I got rid of whatever was on the desktop that probably didn’t need to be there any longer.

(“Oh yeah?” says Saturn. We’ll see . . .)

Looking back, and wondering why I did not remember shifting data to a hard drive, it’s probably because I did it all at once, and fairly recently. Just as an afterthought.

Here are two of the e-books, for your possible reading pleasure.

The first, a hefty 175 pages, in case you’re curious as to how I’ve introduced the subject of astrology to others over the years.

Introductions to Astrology

And the second, and not nearly so hefty; mostly my reflections on the mysterious vastness surrounding my 20-foot yurt during my many years in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Nature & Animals

Notice the double focus, on Above and Below. Always.
