Today, Brian Cates put up a very long thread on X that basically outlines, and in detail, but with very clear demarcations, the gaslighting horror show that both Trump and we the people have been subjected to since 2016. Really astonishing, when you think about it. Makes me surprised we’re “still here.”
It’s not just the covid nonsense, beginning in 2020, that screwed up our way of making sense of the world. And of course, one could go back further than 2016. How about the Obama con? Here we thought of him as our savior. An eloquent black man elected to the presidency! Wow! I remember. I do remember sitting with other Democrats, watching his inauguration on a big screen. Thrilled. You hear me? Thrilled!
But now, as Trump says, it all goes back to Obama. (Note: I take the following quote from HuffPost; thus the not-so-subtly nasty “right wing X user” reference.)
