See yesterday’s post. Not much has changed, except the situation looks worse with even less support from the City Council.  So interesting, how this local drama feels like a fractal of the whole: “progressive” young people vs. “conservative” elders who want to preserve at least a modicum of history while we undergo madcap “growth.” And in this case, given the way our city gov works, both the kinds of structures that are possible to put in place and the ruling bodies that decide yes or no.

We meet Thursday to go over our options. Then on to the Historical Preservation Committee meeting in the evening.

I AM feeling somewhat more balanced, despite a $2000 plumbing emergency to deal with today.

Oh, and an animal got in the unused/unusable chimney . . . crashed around below, somewhere inside the outside wall, until I pounded on the wall. That was that.

Meanwhile . . . so strange, the inversion of values in this topsy-turvy world.
