SOUND OF FREEDOM: Can It Ignite Our Return to a Values-Based Culture?

The jury’s out; but if any single ‘weapon of mass instruction” can do it, this one will.

I’m reminded of an undergraduate seminar I taught while a doctoral student in Philosophy at Boston University, back in the late ’60s. One girl timidly raised her hand, asked if she could do her paper on “values.”

“Values?!?” I thundered, with scathing cynicism. “What values?!? The word has no meaning for me.”

Poor girI!

I remember that even I was shocked by my eruptive refusal to even consider that there might be actual values inside us all, and that these values count. After all, ever since the assasination of our hero, JFK, and the subsequent 888-page Warren Commission coverup, I, like many of my peers, had been deeply disillusioned by all that appeared, knowing most of what went down in officialdom was lies lies and more lies.

Tell me, what has changed since then?

It’s only gotten worse . . . and yet, the volcanic eruption of corruption detectors and whistleblowers is now so intense and formidable that nothing, simply nothing, as Q promised:

Hold on . . . Difficult to take in? You’re just too sensitive to know that some people, in fact thousands, even millions of people, are either truly evil, or somehow coerced (blackmailed, bribed) into doing evil and/or, knowing about it, looking the other way? Too trembly to acknowledge that thousands of truth-tellers are now putting their very lives on the line?

Tell me, what happens if we continue to allow the cover-up, now that the lid has come off?

What happens, if we ignore our own soul’s call?

What happens if, in our willful ignorance, we thereby also “look the other way,” participate in the ubiquitous evil?

What will become of our children and grandchildren (assuming they are not trafficked)? Can you sleep at night knowing what you don’t want to know, this movie (or even news of this movie!) having lodged in your soul?

No. You cannot. It’s too late.

Here’s the sequence, and it’s organic: AWARENESS . . . KNOWLEDGE . . . ACTION!!

I know this next feels paltry compared to the above . . .

The President isn't just the Commander in Chief of the US military forces.

But we need to realize: in a world devoid of values, there simply are no scandals anymore. Anything goes. Every man for himself.

Is this the way YOU live? No. Then take action. We simply must take action, in whatever way is appropriate to our own unique nature and calling.

We really are in a war between good and evil. In this riveting movie, the darkness of horrific evil is illumined by heroic good. Only the latter gets help “from above” (sourced from deep within). Set against each other, as they say, “god wins.” I.e., each person, in so far as his or her right brain has opened, finds him- or herself deeply connected to the heart, our nourishing font of universal LOVE.

 

Our hearts beat as one, in synchronous formation.

Once we real-ize this,

once we make LOVE real,

we do not look back;

we know that we are in alignment with all others

who honor the heart’s universal drumbeat call,

fueled by the infinite source of divine aliveness.

This reminds me: Trump retruthed something that referred Jim Kaviezel, saying something like it’s about time we had the David and Goliath story. Something like that. Wish I could find it.

Meanwhile, keep in mind:

Back to the movie. Here’s info from the O.U.R. (Operation Underground Railroad) website itself re: what is true and what false in the movie. P.S. The “Timotea” medal story is true! That really blew me away. The legions who complain that this is a “faith-based” movie, and thus Christian propaganda, should be ashamed of themselves. What stands out here is how men of faith, i.e., men who follow  their own mysterious inner guidance, no matter what, become true heroes.

Anyone who has stepped off the beaten path, jumped off the cliff and dared to follow his or her inner guidance, will grok what’s going on in this movie. Others, who have not yet reached that developmental stage, will find themselves utterly inspired. The movie takes root in the soul, and grows.

To follow one’s inner guidance involves mysterious forces, situations, dreams, so-called “coincidences,” that blow us away to the point where we bow down and dive in. The crux point reached; it’s either that or die. And when we do “follow our bliss,” as one of my heroes, Joseph Campbell, intoned:

Campbell also wrote The Hero’s Journey.

There are several heroes in this movie, not just one. The ex-cartel guy, for example, tells his story of how he was going to commit suicide, having recognized that his actions were part of the darkness, and then joined forces to rescue trafficked victims instead.

Divine guidance, when followed, works miracles.

Another hero? Tim Ballard’s wife and mother of their five children. She not only allowed him to plunge right into danger, she completely supports his quest, messaging him late at night in his hot sweaty tent to say that she feels like the little girl he is trying to rescue is one of her own. Talk about faith! This is true faith in both one’s partner and in one’s ability to absorb and integrate whatever happens next.

 

Hmmm. . .  Fox News now taking up the cause.
