I get deliberately lost (Neptune in Aries) and enjoy sudden spontaneous text thread with sibs (Pluto in Aquarius SD)

Two personal stories here; do they resonate with what you are experiencing? Remember, both Neptune and Pluto are outer planets, so affect (infect, reflect) both entire generations as well as the current ongoing status of the mass unconscious mind.

NEPTUNE

This morning, I decided to deliberately get lost. By myself. Without Scampi. Needed to do my fast walk, for once, without his constant interruptions to sniff and pee.

Easy, this morning, since it’s very iffy out, cold, grey and periodically spitting rain. I knew he wouldn’t really appreciate walking very far, so I just took him out long enough to poop and that’s it.

The lump is Scampi, curled on corner of couch.

I decided to head to the multistory Indiana Memorial Union, and get lost (again), in its 500,000 square feet.

I used to take Scampi in there with me, but was told to leave at one point early this year, with the stern remark: “no animals.” So now it’s just me. And I almost never walk alone.

Yep, got lost, and probably climbed up and down steps to another floor or two 20 times, usually thinking I was heading to the exit, and asking someone for help, twice. Both were male students, very sweet, offering to escort me to another fork in the hallway, where he’d point in a certain direction. That way, the exit.

But: it didn’t matter. I still got lost.

And when I finally did manage to exit that gargantuan edifice, it was very difficult for me to recognize in which direction I was heading. My proprioception was all cattywampus. Great fun! Was I heading home or heading downtown? I started heading downtown, until I realized my mistake.

So it worked. I got thoroughly, happily lost, while getting even more exercise than usual.

Transit Neptune, in Aries, sits at the root point of my natal chart (opposite its natal point and the MC): Get lost (Neptune), Ann, and do it in a new (Arian) way!

PLUTO

Yesterday late afternoon, a sudden text message from sister Marnie, aimed at all of us:

Marnie had suddenly texted: “Do any of you have any QUIRKS?”

She then confessed some of hers. That led to a hilarious text thread with five out of six of us contributing. Went on and on. Often leading back to childhood, for example, who remembers Dad insisting only use what was it, four squares of toilet paper when you go to the bathroom. About the distance, brother John said, of “elbow to wrist.” brother Mark said he regularly disobeyed that order, wanted to keep his hands clean. On and on.

What interests me here, and it does, intensely! — is that we can look upon this sibling text thread as a zany example of Aquarian energy. Sudden group connection, many contributing, having a blast. And what interests me especially here, is that Pluto at 3° Aquarius, is now turning to go direct! It’s been Rx since early May, this year.

And what really illustrates humanity’s still fledgling Aquarian shift for me is this: though Marnie had suddenly got us all going, she then, after awhile, said we should meet again, plan to do it weekly, at a certain day and time.

Oh dear. That texted remark instantly flipped us back into Pluto in Capricorn resonance. A big no-no now! Earth’s entire population is waking up, letting go of old institutional structures, whether they be exacting schedules or what gigantic structures like the IMU are used for.

Academic degrees? How much longer will they be important? Are they even important now, in the age of Aquarian entrepreneurship and AI? Seems to me that old-hat function for the IMU is already antediluvian.

Another example, malls.

Malls, which are still having trouble continuing with the recent (covid era) shift into on-line ordering, could have apartments built above stores, and the whole place could turn into a village! YES! Or even, get replace some of the national-brand stores, turn some of them into individual homes, or other ways of being both our decidedly quirky selves in concert with one another. Hmm. . . and how about turning large sections of  gigantic mall parking lot into food-producing gardens? Both individual and communal?

BTW: the mall near me now includes seven local stores!

Back to the sibs:

Brother Mark, for one, texted me early AM today that he had internally freaked out at the idea of having to meet weekly, at a certain day and time. Instead, I had just pointed us in the direction of what we had already begun to do, thanks to Marnie’s initiative, and suggested we continue . . .

This was after Marnie had texted me (as the eldest?) to take charge  . . .

My instant response: “Sorry kids, I’m way too overwhelmed to take charge. How about an even more interesting idea, to me anyhow. Whoever is moved, as Marnie was, to bring something up to the group, just do it. Whenever. No set day or time. To me, and this does seem characteristic of the era we are moving into, when spontaneity is key.”

I then suggested a topic we might use next time: “What are you most afraid of?” And then added, snidely, “I’m sure John will figure out a way to turn it into a joke.”

So that’s where the sibling situation stands now. We tried to meet up personally just as the covid con was ramping up, but it didn’t work out. Connections have been very sporadic since; we all know that we’re growing old and, given the distances, probably won’t all see each other again, and thus won’t get the full throttle experience of each other’s aging faces and bodies. But at least we can meet this way, our ever-curious minds and hearts flowing via long-winded text threads. Hell, why not? What have we got to lose?

”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
