Burning Bright, on Election Eve: RED WAVE OR BLUE FRAUD — either way, we win

I voted last Friday. And was fascinated to note that in this very blue academic town surrounded by rural red, a large hall had been rented to hold all the voting booths (how many? 30?) that officials knew would be needed for early voting in this, perhaps the most consequential election in American history, held smack in the middle of (death and rebirth) Pluto’s First Return to its own natal place in the U.S. Chart. Even so, there was still a (short) line to get in.

I mention this to contrast with prior elections, when early voting was held in a smallish office building, with maybe four voting booths, and no line.

The vibe in that hall was intense, friendly, and determined. Not sure what that means locally, but it does interest me that so many of us were taking advantage of early voting, with most of them, I presume, like me, not wanting to stand in long lines on election day itself.

Of course I felt somewhat guilty . . . should have waited to vote on election day itself . . . because, I’ve been told, it will be harder for them to cheat if most of us do. But then, if Burning Bright is right, it doesn’t matter: either way, we win.
