I am committed to my own discipline in the area of staying healthy and eating right. Lately though, I'm feeling tired of the deprivation, which I don't normally mind or notice much. I've allowed myself some treats without my usual self-flagellation and fretting after. It's really lovely. I think the sudden deaths of one long-time and one recent friend have shaken me up a bit. It's a good idea to take excellent care of one's health, but it is silly not to enjoy delicious treats now and again. We never know if we have a tomorrow. If I died tonight at least I had some delicious cake with fresh blueberries from our garden. :)
