Early Morning, after Longest Night of the Year, THIS!

My amaryllis, Matilda, after bulging for what, ten days? bloomed overnight. Bloomed during the longest night of the year. Here she is at dawn.

Three hours later . . .

Also, at dawn, looking east/southeast over Green Acres gardens, where the sun is about to rise, shooting pink streamers along the horizon, matching Matilda’s glorious color . . .

Amaryllis symbolizes beauty and strength.

The color pink symbolizes love and compassion.

As the light begins to return,

may we stand in beauty and strength,

as we bloom into love and compassion
