Whatever happened to the phrase “Mother Earth”? — as She is known by indigenous tribes, for whom it was common sense — sensing in common — that without Her nourishment, humans would not survive as a species?
Our “fast food,” whether in the material, or the cyber, or the spiritual realm —
robs us of Nature’s communion.
Marching by, head down, phone in hand,
we don’t notice the precious little bird whose song,
were it to sing again,
would shudder the world into rapture;
whose wings,
were it to fly again . . .
But will it?
Can it?
A lot of you despise me,
