I reconsider my own reaction to the debate

When I said I didn’t watch it, I meant that I didn’t sit there and watch it continuously. Was too pissed to continue for more than one or two minutes at a time. Kamala’s laughing lies, the moderators’ obvious bias, Trump’s exasperation — it all took its toll.

However, I have managed to watch a few clips since, and to my mind, the best five minute recap comes from Nicole Shanaman (Kennedy’s VP choice):

A few comments to Shanahan’s post speak for me as well.

I don’t know if “normalcy” is possible. There will be no return to what was. As Clif High puts it, get used to the “irreversibility of time.” (Actually, our favorite actress Kamala says that too, in one of her pseudo-philosophical word salads. Don’t want to spend time here to find one of them.)

Then there’s the theory that the debate was yet another brilliant move in Trump’s 5d chess game . . .

Could be. And that possibility makes me “feel better.”

I had felt totally “off” all day yesterday.

Strange, how much I’m counting on this one courageous, deeply flawed (of course! who isn’t?) mortal man to begin to right the ship of state. And this, despite the demonic deep state forces arrayed against him.
