I still haven’t watched the Kennedy candidacy announcement speech. Frankly, the harsh, wavering quality of his strained, hoarse, spasmodic voice grates on my much too sensitive ears so much that I’d much rather read a transcript, which I will try to find. [Later: unable to find.]
(P.S. My ears are so sensitive that I remember giving daily thanks to God for gifting me with two sons, neither of whom was a screecher.)
I truly feel for him, suffering such a condition, and even so, deciding to throw his hat in the ring. Yes. It’s not just the fact of his belief that his father and uncle were both assasinated by the CIA for having the same ambition, it’s this, his own damaged voice! — through which he broadcasts his ideas. My hat goes off to this long-time environmentalist and author of the deeply revealing, sourced, and detailed book: The Real Anthony Fauci.
And I love love love the idea of returning to my own political roots as a “Kennedy Democrat.” It may be that just his candidacy alone, will, by throwing today’s transmogrification of what used to be the Democrat left’s current outrageously woke, DEI, warmongering, nasty-tempered authoritarian attitude into high relief. And thus, perhaps, even pull it back from oblivion.
But all this is by way of introduction to what this post is about. For if DJT is flawed in his insistent, boastful declaration that the way he handled the covid con “saved millions of lives,” then RFK Jr. is also flawed, it appears, and in many more ways than one.

Never been impressed by “2nd Smartest Guy in the World.” He makes allegations based on his opinions or “gut feelings”and not on fact. Doesn’t identify himself either. Big, big ego. And I read a lot of Substackers.
No one believes RFK Jr will ever be elected. Most reasonable people figure the DNC will get rid of him before or during the primary. The point of RFK Jr is that he will raise issues to the court of public opinion that no one else will.
Yes, Kennedy made damning environmental statements. Zero American figures talk about the climate or Earth in a credible way. They’re either pro status quo Big Oil (which Smartest Guy, who’s probably a libertarian, probably endorses) or pro Green craziness. I’m sick of the “one guy’s gonna fix it all” bull crap anyway. No “one guy” will do any such thing.
Thanks for this alert. I’ve only just discovered 2nd smartest guy, so haven’t had a chance to really vet him. And yeah, re: the one guy will fix everything trope!

Hi Ann . . . I really enjoyed thymial l7’s thought-provoking shares and I especially appreciate your thoughts on the RFK voice issue and that you included information about the syndrome.
I agree that RFK’s willingness to address issues that others will not is a testimony and have wondered if that factor is a driving force in his decision to run . . . win or lose.
He does the research and references his sources which lends strong credence to much of the information he shares. His campaign alone could be an empowering gift of Truth to the nation if not the entire world.
It is for that very reason that I pray for him and his family.
