Astrological Riffs on Election Day 2026

So here we are, on supposedly “election day.” What will happen? Who the fuck knows? Anything could happen, and probably will. Whatever “the outcome,” it’s sure to be obliterated in some way. See last post.

Meanwhile, today transit (19+°) Mars is pressing on (24+°) Jupiter/(25+°) (South Node) all also in in Leo.

Reflecting on South Node connection: Hmmm . . . when have we been here before?

 

Plus, wouldn’t you know, Trump’s natal Mars (26+° Leo) and Ascendant (29+° Leo) are also right there! Of course he acts like a king, self-glorifying, egocentric, etc. Without perhaps the world’s largest ego, there’s no way he could have withstood the collective fury directed against him since 2016, much less taken the entire world on in what appears to be a goal of  birthing humanity into a brand new era as non-violently as possible.  

If the current constellation of Leo energies isn’t “divine timing,” of some kind, I don’t know what is! More and more, I sense that Trump is being utilized by forces beyond.

Fiery, volatile Mars moves at a rate of about one degree every two days. It tends to operate ahead of its exact conjunctions, so we’re heading right into the maelstrom as it nears expansive Jupiter in, remember, the heroic sign of LEO. It’s as if “the election” is just an excuse, the “political” cover for universal energies that are busy drumming up chaos (breaking down old dead structures) — with Trump as Leonine hero?

Or: as bait? puppet on a string?

Can any single human being really orchestrate global chaos, breakdown as necessary for breakthrough?

If so, then we are to be eternally grateful for his generous presence. Truly a Leonine hero!

And I’d say, if so, then we are in the presence of a miraculous intervention/ignition of some kind, with Trump as point man, that hopefully, will, actually, turn out okay — eventually.

Note the U.S. natal chart: MOON 27+° AQUARIUS. The emotionality (Moon) of this moment will feel overwhelming to? within? the collective energy of we the people and as individuals (Aquarius).

Just riffing here. Who knows. Nobody knows. Just remember that we are entering an extremely chaotic period, with the U.S. midterm election brouhaha to be possibly identified historically as the main trigger.

Do keep in mind the wondrous and very rare pattern currently holding the three outer planets in a harmonious minor grand trine pattern: (breakthrough) Uranus in fact-oriented Gemini, (powerful) Pluto in group-conscious Aquarius, and (visionary) Neptune in (new beginnings) Aries, all from 2°-4°, the first two in mental air signs, one in the sign of fiery ignition.

Hopefully, we will find ourselves as a nation, via contemplation and communication, with each other, and in small groups, then larger and larger groups, but always decentralized, power moving from the bottom up, eventually working our way through this maelstrom.

 

The key for individuals: center ourselves and endeavor to remain so. 

Which is impossible . . .

But that’s okay. That’s human nature! So, how about this: every time you go off, start to spin out, notice it, breathe, pull back, re-center.

Not all that hard to do, actually, at least for now, since so many many planets are retrograde!

 

P.S. My favorite meditation: slow down, notice, and breathe into, my busy curious mind, my sensuous, throbbing body. Then: with reverence, physically contact the strong trunk of an elder tree, asking to absorb and express its utterly spacious presence. Then, thank you, TREE!
