Early voting begins today, October 5, in Bloomington IN (28 days prior to election for Indiana). Hmmm . . . shall I vote a straight Republican ticket? It’s either that or not vote at all, for me, since, probably like most people, I’m way too distracted by everything else in my life to pay much attention to this election, which I see as a typical matrix movie. I should pay more attention to local races; and feel bad for not doing so. However, on a national level, if the Democrats win either the House or the Senate, we will descend even further into churning, murky turbulence.
(Please recall that, like many thoughtful people, I used to be a Democrat . . . What has happened to the party of the common man?)
On the other hand, given that this November 5th election is going to occur when both Venus and Mercury are Rx in Scorpio, I have a sense that massive powers are in play, most of them entirely hidden behind the scenes. And that, frankly, it may be that the election date IS postponed, as some are predicting! For if not postponed, then the fog of confusion will descend to an even more convoluted, multileveled, maelstrom, with clarity no where near in evidence until after the New Year.
BTW: NOTE THAT BOTH PLANETS, AFTER A PERIOD OF RETROGRADE MOTION, WILL TURN TO GO DIRECT ONLY ONE DAY APART!: MERCURY ON FRIDAY THE 13TH OF NOVEMBER AND VENUS ON SATURDAY THE 14TH OF NOVEMBER. I.E., JUST OVER ONE WEEK PAST THE SUPPOSED NOVEMBER 5 ELECTION DAY.
If, that is, it does take place. And if so, then will that interim week feature a complete, shocked shut down of everyone’s emotional life? PTSD to the max? I wouldn’t be surprised.
Let’s look at these two planets one at a time.
VENUS
Venus already turned to go backwards (SRx), back on 10/3/26, at 8°29 Scorpio
Venus will then pass back into late Libra on 10/26, and will not turn to go direct (SD) until 11/14/26, at 22°51 Libra.
And please note: Venus will not leave Libra for Scorpio again until December 5, and then move again to 8°29 Scorpio and beyond through 12/17/26. So the length of the Venusian weirdness will last from 10/3 through about 12/17/24. And since so much of the time it’s in Scorpio, I’d say that this period will feature (but in a hidden diabolic manner) power plays and bribes of all kinds, including financial, corporate, and the entire spidery, convoluted system of centralized control.
Note that the election date is supposedly November 5th!
I.e., smack dab in the middle of this time span!
MERCURY
Meanwhile, Venus is partnered by communicative Mercury in Scorpio, but in a muffled manner, beginning on 10/24/16 when it stations retrograde at 20°58 Scorpio. Mercury only takes three weeks to turn SD each time, which will occur on 11/13/26, at 5°04 Scorpio. Plus, like Venus, it must again move forwards to the same point at which it turned Rx before moving beyond, and this will occur 11/30/26. If you recall all the hoopla concerning voter fraud in the last election, well, it looks like not much will have changed.
So, again . . .

Yes, both the transits of both planets will be reflecting the scheduled election disruption.

I set up the chart for November 5, at 11:59 PM, Washington DC, and here’s the result:
Looks to me like massive victory celebration (on part of Trump, since he’s got natal Mars and Ascendant at 26° and 29° Leo) with Mars, Jupiter and South Node in Leo directly conjuncting the Ascendant of the chart and sextile Venus in Libra . . .
But . . .
Sun and Mercury in Scorpio Rx at the root of the chart is bound to throw the entire national drama into total confusion as hidden powers of all kinds continue to vie for control. These hidden powers are briefly aided by exact sextiles to Mercury in analytic, detail oriented Virgo.
Note that the overall harmonious collective unconscious configuration that connects Uranus, Pluto and Neptune is completely divorced from the power struggle over this supposed upcoming election.

Thanks for your report, Ann. It seems to me there are two big agendas fighting for control of Earth’s primary timeline in this upcoming election – one for Source-ordained victory, the other for setting a precedent that has NEVER happened before in these united States of America – that of suspending the elections.
According to the Brennan Institute: “No one, not even the president, can cancel the presidential election. Congress set the current date for presidential elections in 1845 and it has been held on this date every four years — even through the Civil War and two world wars – for over 175 years.”
Trump has always acted with respect for the Constitution and rule of law. He will not be the first POTUS to violate both by taking away the will of the people as to who governs, regardless of how corrupt certain seats most definitely are in both House and Senate. That is a matter to be handled differently, and certainly not by abrogating the will of the people and their right to vote on the established day.

In my astrological focus on the unusual relevance of the transits of Venus and Mercury, I was ignoring the role of our Constitution, as well as the fact that Trump, as President, is always careful to stay within its framework. In which case, it may be that “suspending the elections” (despite the Constitution, and maybe it won’t be something he personally agrees with, much less decides) will be what wakes up the public to a far larger, more expansive way of understanding reality. In any case, it appears humanity is locked into the birth canal, wracked with contractions as we squeeze our way through, heading towards the light.
