Has there ever been a time in history so fraught with fear? Have we ever been this close to destroying the entire world? I remember the Cuban Missile Crisis, and it was nothing, compared to now.

And yet, let us admit, the appetite for destruction is nothing new.

And which nation has been at war fully 93% of its time on this earth?
You guessed it.
The U.S.
Us.
But it’s never our fault. We’re the world’s champion upholder of democracy. Right?

Hmmm . . . glimmers of sense creep in. How we mirror the ugliness we think we see outside. How we project what is in us in denied form out onto others — and call them subhuman, animals, vermin, etc., to be exterminated.

We make war on our own population too, of course, in disguise. Again, glimmers of awakening: less than 4% of the jabbed are getting the current jab.

Me: I’ve just begun. Got through the overview part of this long, juicy, meaty edition of her newsletter, but have yet to absorb any of the articles and videos she points to. And, what’s crucial here: Kathleen is optimistic! As am I.
IF we remain conscious and aware, IF we stop identifying with any single ghastly item we unearth, then, as we dig deeper and deeper, unearthing and exposing more and more horror, weirdness, hypocrisy, corruption, seeming impossibility, then, paradoxically, oddly enough, we find ourselves feeling lighter and lighter, less and less caught in any kind of polarized, concretized belief system that forces our natural largess into a cage, and drives us crazy with unprocessed grief, which we are then subtly or blatantly prodded to sour into impotent fury — against others, against the self.
Yuck.
BORING!
Instead, let us unleash our left brains — so that nothing, nothing is off limits to our inspection — in service to our right brains, synchronized with our hearts, open to the universe.

”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
