The above was very instructive for me, even humbling! Though I like to think I’m constantly integrating opposites, the fact of the matter is that I lean more in the direction of the second approach.
In any case, I very much appreciate Caitlin Johnson’s attitude, see below; more and more is it needed now. The difficulty, of course, is maintaining one’s center while allowing in, or at least considering, all sorts of info from all directions (and dimensions!). That’s where daily practices come in. For me, it’s walking one hour each morning with my dog (and no earbuds), and one hour of yoga, chikiung and taichi before dinner. With info (not to mention disinfo, misinfo) overload accelerating, centering in and acknowledging union with the body (as a part of earth herself) becomes crucial, if we are to maintain equanimity while fully expressing our own unique essence as a sovereign soul at one with all.
