For your Christmas viewing — I know it’s weird, but what isn’t, these days? Should I apologize for “ruining” your merriness? Hey, it’s not me, it’s “them.” I just can’t help but pay attention, even as I get ready to go out for Christmas Eve brunch at a local brew pub with my son Colin Cudmore. The two of us see eye-to-eye; we are lucky. Not everyone in my family, or in anyone’s family from what I hear and see, are bonded mentally during this Christmas season. Yes,  “they” did manage to create extreme division within even families who love one another, a division which shows up especially during holidays, when formerly, we would have gathered.

A month or two ago, whenever I went into Krogers, I’d notice at least 10% unmasked like myself. But now? Yesterday, I presume thanks to the moronic, maybe only .01% of Kroger shoppers without masks? However, I do notice now, that the masked ones, if I speak to them, are not only friendly, but I get the feeling they look up to me . . .
