Grokking grok . . . grokking my questions utilizing grok

This morning, I noticed that “@Neptdiptish09” really knows how to use AI fruitfully, to ask, in her case, very practical questions. Here she is looking for the cheapest airline ticket.

Wow. Wish I could do that!

My own proclivities, however, are — thanks to natal Neptune at the Midheaven, aspected with just about every other planet in the chart — and have always been, consistently “otherworldly,” i.e. sourced (from above? below? within?) the right brain/heart connection, and so smearing the line, linguistically, between “fiction” and “fact.” In fact (heh heh), back in 1972, the final question in my oral defense of my PhD dissertation, the one that blew the whole thing out of the park, and led to them giving up and handing me the degree, was this: “Well, Ms. Cudmore (still my name back then, though I had already separated from Patrick Cudmore, my first husband, father of my two sons), “since you say that ‘there’s a fine line between fiction and fact,’ give us an example.”

He thought he had me over a barrel. He did not. I thought back to a few days prior, when my son Colin, then three years old, popped out this question:  “Mommy, which is more real, my dreams or yesterday?

Yes, which IS more real, my dreams or yesterday? Do you know? Is this something grok could address?

But: even more interesting to me today (see yesterday’s post), this statement, which just now flew in from nowhere:

Prime the soil within which the Overton Window is embedded.

Grok’s response:

It begins: “The phrase, “prime the soil within which the Overton window is embedded” is a vivid metaphor.”

And goes on to, frankly, blow my mind, which, of course, is what I was and am seeking all along. Blow my mind, over and over again. Open, open, open, to the infinite mysterious universe, utilizing all the “tools” at my disposal.

At 83, the prospects of how AI can, is, and will be, blowing what we want to call and hold onto, the “Overton Window” to smithereens, are both exhilarating and terrifying.

Of course! That’s where we are, inside the Singularity, where nothing is as it seems.

Where everything is happening all at once!

Where one plus one is one!

Where Love, the universal solvent, pervades.

Center yourself Ann, “hold your ground.

Breathe.

”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
