Joe Dubs weighs in on Eclipse

Drove out to see son Colin today at Majestic Care, expecting to be caught in traffic, given the hundreds of thousands that are supposedly descending on this town for Monday’s eclipse. And guess what? Hardly any traffic! Less than usual on a Saturday. Bloomington folks mostly stayed home in expectation of traffic jams and the visitors haven’t yet arrived?

So we’ll all be looking up (hopefully dark glasses) on Monday, at 3:04 PM. A rare occasion of unity. Lots of fear-mongering out there. Not going to focus on it here.

But I will pass this on. Lots of wondrous images and food for thought.

”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
