This extraordinary Bob Moran cartoon has been sitting on my desk for awhile now, awaiting the day when I would decide to post it.

That day has arrived.

I post it today because I was thrilled to learn that Sam Bankman Fried had been arrested by Panamanian authorities and turned over to the U.S.

I thought to myself: wow, maybe we’re getting somewhere! Maybe there’s justice after all? Despite the corruption in our Justice Department?

I should have known better . . .

Because then I noticed the timing.

SBF was arrested the day before he was scheduled to appear before the US Congress. Bingo.

In terms of the cartoon: Thanks to the arrest that we have long awaited, I was just about to walk through the hole in the matrix wall and into the rising sun. But then, oops! Check the timing of the arrest, Ann. More chicancery! I guess I have to remain in the gloom for the time being.

It’s good to know, however, that at least one hole has been ripped in the fabric of our exceedingly corrupt S/T “reality.” And perhaps at least one young family has already walked through. I certainly hope so.
