I want to point you to Laura Bruno, her various insightful posts and videos regarding Pluto’s final turning, to go into direct motion, exactly on its own natal position in the U.S.A. chart. (I’ve also written a number of posts on this subject.) This process, of going back and forth over that sensitized natal point for the first time in 246 years, has taken an excruciating two years, during which the Plutonian theme of decay/death/rebirth of various Capricorn structures that humans create to “govern” us, has been continuously thrust into the foreground.

It’s no wonder the House of Representatives has just been thrown into complete disarray by the ouster of McCarthy as Speaker. Without a Speaker, nothing can get done. And in order to get a new Speaker, the fractious members of this government body will have to unify enough. It took fifteen votes, back in January, 2023, to bring McCarthy in. What will it take to bring the next Speaker in? And might it even be Donald Trump? Just asking that question would have been impossible two years ago, when this Plutonian process first closed in on its exact natal degree of 27°32 Capricorn. And now? Well, who knows. Maybe? Really? Even though lawfare has now drummed up enough indictments to put him in jail for 400 years and rob his family of its entire fortune?

And yeah, all this extreme stuff, as our beloved nation teeters on the brink of Plutonian dissolution, destruction, death, with rebirth only barely imaginable. And you know what? Except for those highly aware of the evolutionary/revolutionary thrust of this ephocal moment, those not “we the people” barely blink, having become accustomed to woke, inflationary, corrupt madness, mayhem.

Here’s the chart for the exact minute that Pluto turns to go direct, set for Washington, D.C. I use this chart to focus in on the current situation in the House.

 

Notice that the Sun, at 16°58 Libra, sits within two degrees of natal Saturn in the U.S.A. chart. The original U.S.A. chart shows Saturn in Libra, 10th house, in near exact square to Sun in Cancer. Always, there has been a delicate dynamic between getting along as equals (Libra) and old tribal loyalties (Cancer). Nothing has changed, there. (And the natal U.S. chart contains not one, but four planets in Cancer!) The Libra insistence on justice and equality is hard to maintain in the face of old loyalties.

Add to that Chiron at 17°42 Aries, directly across from Sun in Libra. Individual effort, though wounded, is itching for blood. Thus Sun (conjunct U.S. natal Saturn) and Chiron, opposite one another, both square the U.S. natal Sun. Meeting of fiery individual (Arian) minds as diplomatic (Libran) equals, both bogged down with old (Cancer) loyalties — create a T-cross, which to complete, seeks the missing side: structural Capricorn. The urgent need to somehow come into unity in order to realize the structure required by the House, a new Speaker.

Unfortunately, fiery Mars in Libra near the Ascendant, coupled with the south node in Libra, make the process of coming into unity extremely difficult, since so many people feel others betrayed them (south node), despite prior agreements (Libra).

And yes, notice that the Ascendant is, wouldn’t you know, in Scorpio, Pluto’s ruling sign. Secretive. Power hungry. Transformational?

And oh, do notice that the fast moving Moon, at 0°33 Virgo, is coming into exact opposition with Saturn, at 1° Pisces, which, like all the other outer planets during this interregnum, is retrograde, i.e., going back over old unfinished business, in prep for what’s next. This seemingly stuck situation won’t actually flow again until late January, when Uranus becomes the final one to turn to go direct.

And BTW: Pluto makes a sextile to 25°42 Neptune in Pisces and trine to 22°21 Uranus in Taurus. Even though it doesn’t feel like it now, there is actually a long term harmonious configuration among these three outer planets: revival of structural integrity (Pluto in Capricorn) requires that we keep the faith (Neptune in Pisces) and attune to breakdown/breakthrough in the material world (Uranus in Taurus).

Meanwhile, the Virgo emphasis signals analysis, figuring things out, focus on nitty gritty details.

And, personal confession: when I found out McCarthy had been removed, I was excited. CHAOS!

I was surprised at my own strong response. Geez, Ann! But it seems to me that this first ever removal of a House speaker might presage a truly new beginning with the first ever final return of Pluto to its natal place.

Here’s a piece I wrote in October 2002, exactly 21 years ago, when transit Pluto crossed the U.S. Ascendant. Notice how much of my concern then has become blatantly obvious as Pluto pauses, for the final time, on its own natal place since 1776 and tells us, in no uncertain terms: KARMA HAS COME DUE.
