I cannot help but participate in the sudden spirit of optimism that appears to have infected the world, thanks to what has transpired in the Middle East, with a peace deal signed yesterday, on the very day that transformational death/rebirth Pluto turned, to go into direct motion, after a long slog of retrogradation since early May. Pluto turns to go D and then to go RX, approximately once per year. So this is a big deal. I repeat: The very day the peace deal signed, Pluto goes direct!
Add to this the ongoing eruptive, unpredictable Uranus at 1° Gemini, trining Pluto all this time. Another rare and harmonious configuration of outer planets resonating through the collective unconscious.
However, I’m also deeply aware of the every-37-year conjunction of Saturn and Neptune which, in this exceedingly rare case, have been working out the kinks between the very end of the zodiac, Pisces, and the very beginning of the zodiac, Aries, also since early May.
Saturn moved into 0° Aries for the first time (in 29 years) in late May. Neptune had already arrived (for the first time since 1861), on the final day of March. Ever since then, they have been playing with each other in a serious way, igniting the new world, but needing to fully process the pain and memories of the old world at the same time.
Let’s go!
Wait!
No, let’s go!
Can’t yet. Gotta catch up.
What’s your problem? Let’s go!
On and on.
Get the picture?
Remember: Saturn Neptune conjunctions in the very first degrees of Aries are exceedingly rare. In other words, serious (Saturn) visionary (Neptune) new beginnings (Aries) are exceedingly rare. (I just looked it up. There was a Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 6° Aries in the year 555 AD . . . but that’s not the very beginning of Aries, like this one is.)
Here’s some gritty details of their current tug-of-war between old and new:
On September 2, Saturn retreated back into Pisces, and will remain there, turning to go direct on November 25, until February 15, 2026, when it finally re-enters Aries.
Neptune will also retreat back into Pisces, on October 23, 2025, turn to go direct on December 9, and finally re-enter Aries on January 28, 2026.
So, from February 15, 2026 on, both planets will again be in Aries, this time with no retreats. Their exact conjunction, at 0°33 Aries, will occur on February 19, 2026.
In other words, before we get too excited about the promised New Beginnings, let’s remember that for the next four months there’s still a lot of old buried pain and memories to process, to clear; needed, for the many Aquarian partners in this huge new Plutonian adventure, to build trust in one another’s common intentions.
The promised New Beginning is a Process, not a single event.
Here’s an interesting take on how Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff got the deal done.
By the way, Trump’s chart includes a Venus/Saturn conjunction in Cancer, right where Jupiter currently sits! He’s serious about wanting to reconnect the human family; and generous, lucky Jupiter, right now, is on his side.
And remember, Trump, like Reagan before him, who got Gorbachev to the table four times between 1985 and 1988; which turned out to be a prelude to the fall of the Berlin Wall, believes in Peace through Strength.
