Funny, but not really funny – In an obscure way, they aren’t really lying about climate change. There is major climate change ongoing here on Earth (and the other planets too), and it will continue to get worse, until all of a sudden, one day, it gets “cataclysmically worse” for a little while (geologically speaking).
What they are lying about is the real reason why. The fact that’s it’s happening elsewhere in this solar system too should be a big hint. They can’t come right out and say why, it would cause far too many of the useless eaters to stop paying taxes, working and instead start preparing in earnest. They clearly are not interested in the majority of us surviving what’s coming – only a hand-picked few who will continue to serve them and do the hard labor of rebuilding afterwards…
