He is proving to be a remarkably resilient human who should have died from a dissected aorta, way back on August 16. I began posting daily on his journey a few weeks after that, and it’s been a nail-biter at times, with all who go there on a regular basis galvanized, empathic, and astonished. It’s still only two days past Winter Solstice, and the longest, darkest night of the year, but Matilda loves blooming in the dark. Early this morning:
