As of this morning, just as I was getting ready to go visit my nerve-damaged, paralyzed son Colin . . .

— P.S. I post daily on his caringbridge site, and often don’t have energy left over for this site. If you haven’t checked it out already, you might consider doing so. He is proving to be a remarkably resilient human who should have died from a dissected aorta, way back on August 16. I began posting daily on his journey a few weeks after that, and it’s been a nail-biter at times, with all who go there on a regular basis galvanized, empathic, and astonished. He has much to teach us.—
