Walking with Puppy Shadow through the IU Campus . . .

. . . today, always beautiful, but during late spring, early summer particularly so. Gorgeous flowers in thoughtfully arranged plantings always put me in a good mood. Until, that is, today, we happened to walk on 7th street, and came across this, another venerable old house converted into University Property. Shocked that I hadn’t seen this sign before; it depressed me instantly.

As usual, I wished I had my phone with me, rather than pulling this image off the internet.

Back home, on the internet, I discover this, from a 1999 post: “Opened in 1994, as the LGB Culture Center, the T was added a few years later.” Geez, that long ago? (And the Q? And the +?)

This reminds me: sometime in April this year, again walking on campus, I passed by a university sign that said ‘Gender Studies” — which also blew me away at the time. So today I went to the Department of Gender Studies website. From the about page, “As an emerging field, Gender Studies is best understood as an evolution from the Women’s Studies programs that began to be founded in the late 1960s.” Which, I might add, themselves began as an outgrowth of the feminist movement — of which i was a proud pioneer, and I remember being thrilled to think that what began as our rag tag “consciousness raising” groups had achieved official university status. From the IU timeline for this department: first full-time director hired in 1993, changed its name to Gender Studies in 1997. At this point, it is recognized as “one of the top three Gender Studies Departments in the country.”

Sleuthing a bit further, I discover that IU got on board with what is now the trans/woke/DEI agenda way back in 1999!

One wonders just how many layers of administration this particular aspect of “university life” has generated in the past 24 years.

Who would have known that the seemingly heroic feminist movement back in the 1960s would have morphed into the abomination we face now, as the trans/woke agenda threatens to erase all memories of natural, biological “man” and “woman” in favor of gender smearing confusion and erasure, with tinier and tinier “identity” slots of various kinds pitting all against all. Plus, of course, the normalization of rampant pedophilia among especially the “elites,” via dissolution of any cultural or ethical boundaries whatsoever on what is appropriate for children, leaving them rudderless, a complete unknown, no direction home.

Here’s one person who found direction, thanks to the what he calls his “Spiritual Intervention,” timely advice from two transgender “women.”
