That was the question I kept asking during my early years as a doctoral student in philosophy with, you guessed it, a focus on epistemology. I knew, intuitively, with every fiber in my being, that whatever real learning was, it wasn’t what I was doing, carving out and classifying supposedly discrete sensations from the flow into concepts, concepts into words, words into statements according to certain rules, that connected to each other via other rules, and stuffing all that I had earnestly “inductively learned” into a memory box to call upon at will for the purposes of debate. THAT wasn’t real learning. That bored me. I felt like a machine. I might as well have been a machine. 50 years ago. An early AI.
Oh, and by the way, my major professor, Joseph Agassi, told me to ignore my intuition, because it can’t be “proved.”
Even though, by the way again, what prompted me to choose him as my major professor was because the first time he spoke to us first year graduate students he told us that there is no such thing as proof! because any proof relies on a set of assumptions, which themselves must be proved. We back up into infinity that way, empty space. Our entire human world of “learning” is thus exposed, as resting on no foundation, nothing!
It’s obvious to me now, and perhaps was unconsciously to me then as well, that Professor Agassi was of two minds: one “scientific,” in the boring sense, and the other far larger, even endless — and, likely, for the other, smaller, mind, way too frightening to seriously contemplate.
In fact, one could say my professor was exhibiting the traits of both left and right brains!
Okay, let’s start again.
Imagine a teacher deciding that the entire curriculum for his or her students would be an endeavor to understand, stand within, create, learn from, consider, expand, draw parallels to, illustrate, become one with, the phenomenon of mycellium, which entangles everything with everything else, supposedly only under the surface of the earth. In other words, imagine learning, or, I should say, re-membering (putting ourselves back together again) to become one with the whole of creation?
In doing so, we begin to recognize that the linear, causal question, “which comes first, the chicken or the egg?” makes no sense!
We live in a relational world, both within our own beings, and between ourselves and all that exists, including other human beings. There is no escaping entanglement. Not even when we die. Especially when we die! We are food for worms, which nourish the soil, threaded through with mycellium, on and on in the wood wide web.

Excerpt:
“There’s a picture by the artist M.C. Escher of a hand drawing another hand, which is at the same time drawing the original hand. I don’t know if you’ve seen this. It’s a wonderful image. That’s, for me, a very helpful way to think about these entanglements, because it’s a co-creative, relational space where all the partners involved are helping to build the other. And that changes the way that I understand relationship and entanglement, because it becomes less about a series of dotted lines between individual entities; it becomes a kind of seething relational space, like a fabric that’s living and growing. And that’s why mycelium is a helpful metaphor for me to understand it.” — Merlin Sheldrake

If Clif High is correct, that during this year whoever we consider an “authority” will likely fall, then here’s what just happened to me . . . Dr. Mercola, who just about everyone in the alternative health world considers an authority, including myself, just went off the rails?
This Doesn’t Bode Well for Dr. Mercola (and His Company?)
Dr. Mercola Consulted with Psychic Before Axing Top Executives
Not that I don’t myself sometimes consult psychics — and trust them as much as I trust anyone outside my own gut feelings — but this is truly stunning: that he axed three top executives, immediately, including his own sister, stating that they are not to return to the premises, and that their belongings will be shipped to them?
Of course, the first question: is it true?
If so, the deep state might have found THE way to target this extremely courageous man who has a reputation among contrarians like me for successfully standing up to Big Pharma/Big Med/Big Gov tyranny. Indeed:

Why do I say that? Because, looking at his astro chart, this man is extremely impressionable — Moon/Neptune exact conjunction — in Libra, and so could, yes, be taken over in a relationship, if he is not very very careful as to whom he associates with. That sensitivity is echoed hugely in his four planet stellium in Cancer, including Jupiter (at the Midheaven), only two degrees from Mercury, plus Sun and Uranus — eruptive Uranus nearly exactly square his Moon/Neptune! And all four Cancer planets within a 12° span — plus the south node, his karmic point, where he comes from. Where he’s susceptible to repeating mistakes from the past. He needs to bring in his practical, realistic Capricorn north node big time here, to see the entire situation from afar and begin to get his life back, if, indeed this news is true.
And if it’s true, it makes sense of transits operating during the time when Mercola abruptly fired the three (Feb 7) to when he released a video talking about it to his company (February 12). During that time, both Venus and Mars were crossing through that degree area of Capricorn, igniting the emotionally eruptive Moon/Neptune square Uranus signature.
Given those Cancer placements, with Uranus among them, that he would abruptly fire even his own sister makes a kind of awful sense. And when things were going well, I imagine the culture in his company felt like family.
I also imagine that the covid con could not have come at more significant time for this man who’s Neptune/Moon square Uranus created a T-cross with transit Pluto in Capricorn from 2020 through 2022, crisscrossing that same 20°-23° degree area of his chart.
Did his professional/reputational success with the alternative news outlets during that period of time go to his head? Did it disturb his Venus/Pluto in Leo in the 11th house of friends and associates (no wonder he became a wealthy man!) to the point where he thinks he can play god? (The above article infers so.)
Mars in Sagittarius at bottom of chart, widely trine the Venus/Pluto placements, and only one degree out of alignment with the Galactic Center . . . What is the perspective he has gained from the psychic who purports to be a channel that has resulted in these drastic developments?
Again, always, if true. And the wiser part of me thinks I should wait to say anything, since the article I reference above only came out two days ago. But then my own Mars in Sagittarius (along with Ascendant and Sun) also tends to jump the gun — only to sometimes regret it later, other times be grateful that my gut was talking to me. And when I regret it later . . . oh my, do I then have to go to a great deal of trouble, internally processing what just happened, and how I could go so wrong? YES.
Case in point: when I saw Sound of Freedom I was utterly entranced. And wanted to shout its message to the rooftops. Gradually, my initial surety eroded, as I came across not so flattering articles about Tim Ballard (who Jim Kaveziel played in the film), and questions about whether or not the entire film was a hoax, and who funded it, and geez, why focus south of the border, when it appears that by far the largest number of children who disappear are in the U.S.

But is this graph true? I’ve heard many times, the 800,000 figure for the U.S. But this is the first time I’ve seen it compared to other countries. Four times as many as in China, the next largest! And notice how many in the UK! Maybe even more than here, when you compare their populations.
”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
