Delay delay delay; plumbing problems . . .

Wouldn’t you know. Just as I was getting ready to do the promised post with lots of photos, collages, and a tiny video, all to document the four hours it took us to set up the yurt, plumbing issues intervened, which went on and on.

So I give you a peek of the yurt, showing the barn behind it, looking like some kind of monster, next to such pristine whiteness. Hmmm . . . shall we tear that building down? Or simply replace the old torn plastic covering the window and paint a mural on the wall. Not sure. It functions as the chicken coop at this point.

Tomorrow I will do the post I wanted to do today.

Oh, and here’s the dome . . .

FIRST MORNING, from my bedroom window . . .

Correction; From my dirty bedroom window . . . long dreamed vision, looping me back to all those magical years in a 20-foot diameter yurt in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this one a 12-foot yurt, for visitors, personal retreats, workshops? We’ll find out! And now that the yurt is finally up on its beautiful sturdy platform son Colin built (it arrived and languished on my front porch floor for nearly one year), we will proceed to redesign this entire back yard.

And is this another omen of brand new beginnings? Three-year-old Tiger and 15-year-old Shadow both asleep on my bed this morning (not unusual), but with their backs touching?!?

FIRST TIME EVER.

Pics on process of putting the yurt together later today. Just know: it took four hours, with five to seven people here at all times, pouring over the instructions I sent to you yesterday, trying to figure out what in hell the author meant. Oh, and with a short break for pizza at noon.

If we have to take it down for the Indiana winter (still unknown), it will be a lot easier to put up next time . .
