GREEN ACRES VILLAGE: I participate in a forum with people from diverse “intentional communities”

Way back in March 2022, Cynthia, a FIC host at the Foundation for Intentional Community, invited me, as founder of Green Acres Permaculture Village,  to participate in one of their periodic Virtual Tours with folks who live in other intentional communities in the U.S. of various types, values, and sizes. Our forum featured an interesting mix. I learned a lot.

Here’s the listing we have in the Foundation for Intentional Community website, which I updated today.

If you are interested in a more connected way of living, either to start an “intentional community” of your own with others, or to join an existing community, the Foundation for Intentional Communitiy offers a directory of existing communities as well a wealth of information and resources.

And remember, you don’t have to start from scratch. You can begin where you live, in your own neighborhood, by simply opening, in tiny ways, every single day, to another set of values that prioritizes LOVE over FEAR:  sharing and exchanging abundance, rather than secretly hoarding for scarcity.

”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967
