I’ve been inundated by internal Uranian explosive turbulence ever since it began to make its one and only (unless I live to be 168 years old . . . ha!) 84-year return to its own natal place — first in the summer of 2025, and now, summer 2026, with the entire process to finish up in March 2027 (while heading directly into its first ever conjunction with my natal Saturn; — so this once in a lifetime ordeal is nowhere near done).
Uranus was conjunct Saturn at my birth (1-7° Gemini), a rare generational signature that occurs about every 45 years. Those born around 1988 also have it. For them the conjunction occurs in early Capricorn, Saturn’s sign. Anyone with this dynamically polarized combination must, through often painful experience, learn how to consciously channel, direct (Saturn) the explosive Uranian energy. For my Saturn/Uranus generation, in mental Gemini (most of us now dead or dying), is it no wonder I am constantly describing in language my Saturn/Uranus experiences?
I have written at least 15 posts that deal with this topic, the closure of the first cycle of Uranus (“Uranus Return”), likely one that most of my readers have not lived through, whether or not they are familiar with astrology. So, you might say, I am documenting how the closing of this immense cycle is being lived through by one conscious being.
Okay, so on to today, which happens to be July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of the birth of the U.S.A. It’s also the final day (in a three day process or so), that the transit of fiery, impulsive Mars (an 18-month to 2 year cycle), is exactly conjuncting transit Uranus at 3°+ Gemini. . . .
This conjunction also happens to echo my own chart, where my original Uranus (at 1°36 Gemini) sits, opposite my natal Mars at 2°42 Sagittarius! So, for me, all my life, sudden shocking (Uranus) events are to be expected (Saturn)!
Given the volatile temper of the times, and also for me personally, I am more than usually careful when driving, and usually avoid it, if possible. Who knows what Uranian accident is waiting to happen?
On the other hand, I’m aware that I am protected, that intuitive guidance has always steered me out of the way of dangerous situations.
Or it usually does.
So, what happened this morning.
Out on my usual early morning walk with Scampi, I saw a young man ahead on the path with a large black hound of some kind. As usual, I called out, “Okay if they meet?” — expecting that he would say “sure!” or “yes!” or “okay.” Which he did, after first hesitating (something I didn’t notice at the time). As we came close he dropped the leash. An unusual move, but okay. That way their leashes wouldn’t get tangled up.
Suddenly, instead of nosing down to Scampi who was eagerly trotting up to meet him, his dog swerved, came up to me, so suddenly and powerfully that I worried he might, in his eagerness, jump up and accidentally knock me down. Looking back, I have a sense that this instinctive fear in me triggered his aggressive nature, because he suddenly bit me on the upper right arm, hard!
He then tried to attack Scampi too, as his owner, having retrieved the leash, was dragging him away from both of us.
Of course I was shocked, looking at my arm. The young man, right as it occurred said, alarmed, “Are you okay?”
“Yes,” I responded. The bite did not break the skin.”
The two of us, with our restrained dogs, looked at each other, both trying to digest what had just occurred, as the young man murmured, “Yes, sometimes he’s . . .”
So that’s why he hesitated in the first place!
Whew! Of course both of us were relieved. And of course, I was concerned about his dog, and he knew it. And he felt bad. And likely wished he had said to begin with, while steering around us, “I don’t think so. He’s not predictable.” Something this does happen once in a while on our walks, and of course Scampi and I honor it, both parties steering a wide birth.
In any case, I bring this up to illustrate the sudden shocking, dangerous event that happened to me on our walk, on July 4th, as transit Uranus was being conjuncted by transit Mars at 3° Gemini — which just happens to resonate with the Mars/Uranus positions in my original chart.
It’s not just when driving that I need to be careful . . .
BTW: dog attacks are a recurrent part of my long herstory, three of them vicious and long-lasting, with two of these involving multiple dogs! Only once was I actually seriously bitten. Hmmm . . . Should I look back and see what was going on with transiting Saturn and Uranus on those occasions?
”And you? My teacher looked up, his left eyebrow arched, pencil poised. 'I want to do a paper on the concept of time.’” I mumbled, timidly. 'Time?' He sniffed. “I wouldn’t touch the subject. Too difficult.” — AK, 1967

Wow, glad you’re okay. I have been laying low and avoiding cars as much as possible, too, due to similar placements, as you know. Of course, I’ve got four planets in Gemini, including Mercury at 4° Gemini, plus ASC-DSC at 3° Virgo Pisces, plus natal Pholus at 7° Pisces, Mars at 10 Pisces, Neptune at 5 Sagittarius, plus the Grand Trine in Air at 1°. Just finished with my MC-IC at 28° Taurus/Scorpio … and had a wildly synchronous email arrive at the exact moment of the Mars-Uranus conjunction, also when the Moon was at 0°01′ Pisces, conjunct the North Node near my DSC.
In other words … things are VERY Uranian here, too, and have been for quite some time!
