The current Mars/Uranus/North Node in Taurus at work — with backstory

Way back in the spring of 2020, when the so-called “pandemic” had just been declared, and the entire global population seemed to have locked down into a terror-stricken hypnotic swoon, two people who lived here in our tiny Green Acres Permaculture Village, rather than cowering in fear,  decided to use the unexpected downtime to do something grand. Deciding on the goal of August 2021, they would put together a high level multi-day classical music festival that drew from local (via Indiana University) and national sources, and locate it in a very unlikely place, rural Nashville, in Brown County, Indiana. These two intrepid souls, pianist Andreas Ioannides and organizer Annie Hawk got ‘er done.

That Festival was so successful, that they decided to make it an annual event, and even add an extra day, for seven full days of beautiful classical music. This year’s Chamberfest Brown County will be held August 14-22.

Annie still lives here. Andreas, now a professor of piano at a conservatory in Cork, Ireland, is again living with us for a month. Last night he gave a concert for which the organizers took donations to help with this year’s festival. The concert was held a few miles from Nashville, at St. David’s Church in tiny Bean Blossom, Indiana. For the concert, Andreas had prepared to play all 24 of Chopin’s Etudes, in the order which they were composed, the first 12 when Chopin was 19, and the second 12 when he was 26.

I and others went to this well-attended concert. And here’s where what I want to say next begins. For all the above is backstory to what I would call two extremely benign manifestations of the current exact conjunction igniting inflammatory Mars with eruptive Uranus, and the future-pointing North Node, all in earthy, stubborn, security-oriented Taurus, which, when working in an unconscious manner, bears the motto, “A known bad is better than an unknown good.”

In other words, this is a moment when the “unknown good” of strong, stirring energies within what has been condensed into matter express, rise to the surface and erupt.

And these eruptive forces are not necessarily tied to yet more threats of war, war war; nor do they necessarily need to erupt as nasty fights between individuals or groups. As Celia Farber has noticed, in her marvelous new substack —

Dreaming Out Loud

Yes, not just survival, but thrival, and it appears that this eruptive Mars/Uranus/North Node in Taurus energy is driving that tremendous power possessed by the human soul when it opens to the universal love that powers through.

Last night, two examples of current interruptive processes:

The first occurred during the second half of Andreas’s concert in Bean Blossom.  A cell phone began to ring. Andreas stopped, got up, laughed, went over to his own phone, thinking it was the one that had been left on. Then he returned to the piano, and took up where he had left off. But then the same cell phone went off again . . . and again . . . and again . . . probably five times in all over a 15 minute period, and each time Andreas stopped, went over to the side of the room where the ringing was coming from; then all of a sudden we all realized it was an old woman’s phone that had been the eruptive force all along, not his. Andreas, being the deep soul that he is, consoled the woman, laughed again, and then went back to the task at hand, completing with aplomb, finesse, and unusual power, erupting, not just from his hands, but rippling through his entire body, the final six of the 24 Chopin Etudes.

The cell phone. Eruptive, yes, but not all that awful. Andreas easily smoothed the situation. Tiny eruptions, over and over again. Sitting where I could see this couple, I noticed that after the final time, when everyone had figured out that it was her phone, that her husband sweetly took her hand, patted it, and held it for the duration.

The second example of the Mars/Uranus/North Node in Taurus eruption: a woman who has come to several of our Green Acres Community Dinners in the past saw the notice I had put out to the Dinner List about Andreas’s upcoming concert. She decided to go. The fact that she wanted to go surprised her, since she had been sitting all alone, cowering in fear, for two years straight. So, at around 6 pm, she set out for Nashville, thinking the concert would be in a church there. Oops! Not there. Okay, how about the other church in Nashville. Nope! Not there either. Not having a smart phone, she didn’t know what to do; nobody in Nashville seemed to know about a concert occurring that evening.  . . but, somehow, she managed to find her way to Bean Blossom, and arrived during the first half of the concert. (I still don’t know how she did find her way there, and must talk to her about this).

I walked into the refreshment area for intermission and there she was, Sonja! — sitting alone at one of the tables. I hadn’t seen her for at least two years. And she hadn’t seen anyone, she told me, for that long. We fell into an intense conversation. She told me about trying to get to this concert; that for some reason she knew she had to go; and that even when it looked impossible, and she thought she should just give up and go home, something made her continue, until she did actually arrive. “I have been holed up for so long,” she said, “that it has changed me. I’ve become grouchy, I avoid people. ”

“So,” I responded, “you used the notice of this concert to interrupt your longstanding toxic pattern. Yes! Good for you!”

I escorted her back to sit next to me for the final half of the concert. Afterwards, she saw Marita, another Green Acres Village resident, and though they didn’t remember each other’s names, Sonja remembered Marita’s blueberry shortcake and Marita, Sonja’s bread! After some amount of cajoling from both of us, she said she would come next Thursday to Community Dinner and bring her bread.

What eruptive energies have been breaking long-standing stuck toxic patterns — that felt “secure” (in that everyday, the same routine), but had been destroying your natural vitality — over this past week and into the next few days?

Let’s utilize the Mars/Uranus/North Node in Taurus to let go of that old stuck stuff, and watch what happens when we do.

The universe bends in the direction of our intent.
