End TRANS NARCISSISM, kingpin of WOKE UNIVERSE bullshit

I have a good friend, a tall, strong, manly man who, for many decades, despite marriage and children, wished he had been born a woman. So after his children were grown, Alan dared to make the switch: dressed as a woman, wore lipstick, took a woman’s name, and had fun with his altered persona for a good many years. All of us were fine with both Alan and Alice. No big deal. Then, a few years ago, he noticed himself wanting to be Alan again, dress as Alan to greet the day. At first, it was just once in a while. Now, it’s most of the time. He’s puzzled by his changed attitude, but flows with it, just as he’s accepted various phases of his life’s journey all along.

Alan’s “trans” journey is NOT what I’m talking about here. Alice was no narcissist.

I REALLY appreciate the above perspective, and to me it makes total sense. Unless those who would take control of the whole world succeed in confusing the natural, biological division between male and female bodies, none of the rest of the woke bullshit will work, and the globalist agenda that puppeteers it FAILS.

Meanwhile, here in Bloomington, Indiana, just yesterday, a story in the local paper about a high school teacher who placed a litter box in his classroom, inviting any student who identified as an animal to use it. WHAT?

The underlying issue here, to me, is the very notion of “identity” — one gets indoctrinated — by social media or teachers, counselors — into “identifying” as this or that, or even that (animal, insect, tree, whatever!). From this point on, whatever you say goes; and everybody else had better bow down to your narcissistic whims — not just tolerate you, but admire you, defer to you! Use “correct” language to address you! And since these faked “identities” seem to always be based on the body, I’d say that there’s an even deeper, ontological issue underlying that: so-called “scientific” (scientistic) materialism. As long as we identify with only our bodies, and then not just dress differently, but fantasize, hormonize, and/or surgically alter them to be other than what they really are, what they came in as, what they were born to be and become, we can be successfully indoctrinated into this absurdist nonsense, and thus, as Camille Paglia points out below, contribute to the ongoing cultural decay.

I say all this as a one time “tom boy,” who would much rather have been born a boy than a girl. Thank goodness I was born in 1942, not 2002 (or 1992?) when this woke junk began to subsume the “body politic” into its hungry maw.

Two crones I’ve long admired weigh in.

Pay close attention to Camille Paglia, who discovered, while doing research for her doctoral dissertation on “androgyny” at Yale, that down through history, it has signaled cultural disintegration.

Germaine Greer is hilarious; as far as I’m concerned, her irritable, cheeky attitude is exactly crone, and totally called for, especially in dialogue with her “politically correct,” woke interviewer.
